Snug Nursery Schools is the parent company of Storybook Montessori Ascot and Storybook Sunningdale two warm, welcoming nurseries in Berkshire where curiosity, creativity and care go hand in hand.

Our Story

Mary Brosnan, originally from Ireland, began her career in corporate banking before discovering her passion for early years education. After joining a London-based nursery chain in a head office role, she realised there was an opportunity to create something more personal, more meaningful, and more family-focused. Mary believed that children thrive best in nurseries run with professionalism, warmth, and heart.

Driven by this vision, she retrained as a Montessori teacher and opened Storybook Montessori Ascot in 2015, now one of the most loved nurseries in the Ascot community. In 2024, she expanded the group with the acquisition of Storybook Sunningdale, bringing the same high-quality childcare and positive atmosphere to even more families across Berkshire.

Today, Mary and the Snug team are guided by our core values—Listening, Anticipating, Understanding, Going the Extra Mile, and Having Fun. These values shape the nurturing, community focused environments that make Snug Nursery Schools a trusted choice for parents seeking exceptional early years education.
